Mumbai: Mahindra has announced a major expansion of its electric vehicle charging infrastructure through the launch of Mahindra ChargeIN, a new network featuring 180 kW ultra-fast chargers.
As part of this initiative, the company plans to install over 1,000 Mahindra Charge_IN charging points by the end of 2027, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating India’s EV adoption.
Mahindra Charge_IN Network to Build India’s High-Speed EV Charging Backbone
The Mahindra Charge_IN network will comprise exclusively 180 kW chargers, with plans to set up 250 stations and more than 1,000 individual charging points within two years.
These ultra-fast charging stations will be placed along key highway corridors and high-traffic routes to provide seamless long-distance travel for EV users.

Mahindra has already inaugurated the first two Mahindra ChargeIN stations – one at Hoskote on NH75 along the Bengaluru-Chennai highway, and another at Murthal on NH44 near Delhi.
Each station includes two ultra-fast chargers capable of charging four electric vehicles simultaneously, marking a significant milestone in strengthening India’s national EV charging backbone.
Mahindra Charge_IN to Offer Open Access Ultra-Fast Charging
The Mahindra ChargeIN network is designed as an open-access system that will be available to EV users across all brands. Drivers can locate and book charging slots through the ‘ChargeIN by Mahindra’ app as well as other leading aggregator platforms.
Mahindra EV owners, including users of the XEV 9e and BE 6, can access the network via the Me4U app, which enables discovering charging stations, initiating charging, and completing payments.
Through Me4U, customers currently have access to nearly 34,000 public charging points provided by various Charge Point Operators, including Mahindra ChargeIN.
Mahindra ChargeIN to Enable 20-Minute Ultra-Fast Charging
The company’s upcoming network will feature 180 kW dual-gun chargers engineered to deliver faster, more convenient charging for electric four-wheelers.
These chargers can power the Mahindra eSUV lineup – XEV 9e, BE 6, and the upcoming XEV 9S – from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes, making long-distance EV travel practical and efficient.
